Apply for Canadian passport - if you are a Canadian:
Canadian residents need to visit www.PassportCanada.Gc.Ca, select language, and click on “for Canadians” option. Select your profile from Canadian living in Canada; Canadian living in U.S. or Bermuda; or Canadians abroad. Fill up the application form that differs on the basis of candidates’ age and the place from where they are applying.
Accept methods of payment, and submit application form with your two passport photos, which were taken within a year previous to the application date. You need to show a valid proof of identity which shows your name as it will appear on the passport and your signature when you are submitting the application form.
You have to give a proof of your Canadian citizenship; such as if you were born in Canada, provide a birth certificate and if you were born outside the country, then provide a Certificate of Naturalization. Every passport application must be signed by a guarantor, who can be a Canadian citizen (over 18 years of age) for a Canadians living in Canada; or a person, who lives under the jurisdiction of the passport-issuing center, for Canadians living outside the country. Canadians living in Canada can pick this application form from a Canadian Post office, an office of Passport Canada or from the website of Service Canada. Canadians living outside the country can get the form from their local Canadian consulate.

Residents of Canada are issued with Travel documents, and certificate of identity, if they are convention refugees, protected persons, stateless persons, permanent residents for less than 3 years who are incapable to get a national passport for a legitimate reason. Visit www.PassportCanada.Gc.Ca, click on “for non-Canadians” option, then “start” option. Complete the entry form by providing personal information such as name, date of birth, and signature. Provide the original of only one of the documents such as proof of immigration status in Canada, permanent resident card, protected person status document, or temporary resident permit.
Provide one document of proof of identity such as provincial driver's license, provincial health care card, other provincial identification card, old age security card, other federal identification card; or federal, provincial or municipal employee identification card. Accept methods of payment, and submit application form with your two passport photos, which were taken within a year previous to the application date. Every passport application must be signed by a guarantor, who is a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident living in Canada.
