Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC)

Qualified individuals will be provided with EUC benefits of up to 53 weeks by federal government. Your regular Maximum Benefit Award (MBA) will decide your eligible number of weeks.

The criteria for EUC eligibility
  • Your benefit year has terminated and you have not got adequate earnings to be eligible for a new regular claim against Arizona, or any other state, or Canada, or
  • You have tired your UI claim’s all regular benefits.
When coming to the eligibility requirements for EUC, they are similar to the requirements which are applied to the receipt of regular benefits. If you are eligible for EUC and you filed for it, you will get letter of monetary entitlement (EUC Wage Statement) that indicate the amount which you are entitled. The amount of weekly benefit for EUC will remain identical to the regular claim. The EUC program is divided in 4 tiers and you are required to exhaust benefits of one tier before next tier’s payments can be made.
  • Tier 1: Up to 20 weeks of EUC
