Echoism
has been started on 11th January, 2011 by Julian Wolkenstein. Julian
has introduced a digital project to discover the supposed attractiveness
of perfectly symmetrical faces. You can submit your own symmetrical
portrait in an Echoism App. Symmetrical face attracts more people than
asymmetrical face. You can become more attractive and beautiful with
Symmetrical face which you can see in the Julian Wolkenstein project by
making your own Symmetrical face.
People can use two different applications to make a symmetrical face; one is echoism which run on computer and requires web cam and second is iPhone application which you can download from itunes.apple.com. The process of the site called as face to camera picture, and the image is spilt in to two parts left and right, then one side is horizontally flipped. After downloading the application:
Line up your face besides the balance line in the center of the screen. While setting of your face in the page, you have to try to place your eyes exactly within the center of the circles. After you have taken the photo, you will reveal the final manipulated image. These images are remerged to build two different and symmetrical identities of the image. With these images, the site will give you choice to either upload the image or start all over again. You can share your Echoism images with facebook, twitter or email.
